Let all women withdraw services from bedroom to boardroom and see how society will be – Ursula

Member of Parliament for Ablekuma West Constituency Ursula Owsusu-Ekuful says women should be seen by men as their partners for development and not as competitors.

She said women were uniquely created by God to play a vital role in the building of the society, hence, their roles should not be downplayed.
Answering a question as to whether or not President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo had done well with the number of women he has appointed so far into his government, the Communications Minister told Berla Mundi on the Women’s Factor segment on the New Day programme on TV3 Monday, November 23 that “I am the first female Minister of Communications, we have the first female Chief of Staff, Hajia Alima [Mahama] is the first female Local Government Minister.

“We have chalked a few successes but it is not enough.  We can always do better. But performance of women  in leadership should give anybody comfort that when we are given a task and a duty to perform we deliver and so if people think that we are short-changing ourselves by putting women in decision making they should have a second look at that.

I think the output of women in government, in decision making, in business, across all sectors should satisfy the Ghanaian people that we are very capable of delivering on any portfolio that we entrust into our hands.

“But, I admit some of us make mistakes. My beef is that we are held to higher standard than the men in similar positions. Our society acts with men little slack that they do women so we are always justifying the positions that  we occupy. But we are focused on getting the job done despite the distractions and we multi-task.

“We can take care of multiple issues and at the same time still keep a smile on our face despite the challenges and the stress around us. God created us uniquely and to be able to absorb a lot stress than the men do.

“They think that we are the weakest sex but we are not as weak as they assume. They do feel a little threatened  by our performance in whichever position we find ourselves but I just want to assure everybody that they should see women as equal partners in the development of our country.

“We are not competing with them,  we want to collaborate with them to deliver to our country.

I now wear make-ups because I’ve learnt it’s not a sin against God – Diana Asamoah

Gospel musician and Evangelist, Diana Asamoah once preached that wearing make-ups is a sin against God and that those who wear it will not make it to heaven.
Fast-forward, a few years later, the very person who condemned those who wear make-ups is now doing so herself.

This has got people labelling her as a hypocrite.

Well, for the first time, Diana Asamoah has cleared the air on why she has made U-turn on the very thing she preached against.

“At first I thought make-up was a sin and I wouldn’t make it to heaven but the ex- chairman of Pentecost, Apostle Opoku Onyina brought clarity on that and I have also discovered a lot through prayers and the bible,” she stated.

She is, thus, now of the view that her faith and growth in Christianity have opened her eyes better.

Miss Asamoah disclosed this in an interview on Joy News‘ AM show when host Mamavi Owusu Aboagye hit her with the question.

Explaining further on her new lifestyle, she quoted 1 Corinthians 13:11 which read: “When I was a child, I spoke and thought and reasoned as a child. But when I grew up, I put away childish things.”

She hammered on the fact that she’s now enlightened on what can take one to heaven or not.

The purpose of the peace walk is to reiterate the idea that despite belonging to different parties, peace must prevail as the 2020 elections comes off in less than 2 weeks.

Below is their photo. Dumelo had an NDC flag hanged on his neck and Mama Lydia also held an NPP flag and they walk together.

Kofi B to be finally laid to rest today

Late Ghanaian highlife crooner, Kofi Boakye Yiadom aka Kofi B will finally be laid to eternal rest today, Saturday, November 7, 2020.

Per the funeral arrangement, Kofi B’s remains is currently laying in state at the Agogo Presbyterian Park in the Ashanti Region as families, friends and sympathizers file past to pay their last respect to the ‘Bantama Boakye’ hitmaker.

After the final funeral rites have been performed, the body will be conveyed to the Asante Akyem Agogo cemetery for interment.

There will be a thanksgiving service to be held by the family on Sunday, November 8, 2020, at the Triumphant Christian Chapel at the Agogo Lorry station still in the Ashanti Region.

Kofi B died in February of this year after he was rushed to the Cape Coast hospital after complaining of chest pains.

His death was a big blow to the highlife fraternity in the country. However, his funeral has taken long to come because of some family misunderstandings that needed to be settled to pave way for him to be peacefully laid to rest.

‘I sent a song to Sarkodie for a feature and he told me it’s not good for his brand so he won’t feature me’ – Mzbel

Mzbel says she once sent a song to the CEO of SarkCess Music for a feature and she received savage feedback from him.
Mzbel says Sarkodie told her point-blank that he wouldn’t do a verse on a song she sent him because it wasn’t good for his brand.

The 16-years hit-maker in an interview explained that a song she sent to Sarkodie hoping to receive a verse from him was turned down painfully so, it wouldn’t have been no news if Kuami Eugene had also turned down shooting a music video for their “Happy Day” song of which he got tricked to record.

Mzbel blasted Kuami Eugene for being a hypocrite and lying to the masses that he never knew “Happy Day” was an endorsement song for the NPP.

As a Rastaman, was Samini right to play Politics by endorsing Prez Nana Addo?

We all know the notion created by the masses about Rastafarians is that they mostly stay far from politics.

Instead, they instead lend their voices in fighting against corrupt leaders who assume public office and try to oppress the poor by stealing their monies.

Samini’s public endorsement of President Nana Addo on the song, Kpoyaka (Special Endorsement) has raised serious concerns on the internet about whether it is right for him to venture into politics.

However, before Rastafarians decided to stay far from politics and fight against it, Howell, who is considered a Rastafari founder, engaged in political activities in the year 1932–1940 that indicated an investment in psychological repatriation as opposed to physical repatriation to facilitate a Rastafari black nationalist agenda for Jamaica.

We Have Peace In The Industry But We Have No Love” – Kuami Eugene

The singer, songwriter and record producer, Kuami Eugene isn’t happy about how the top stars in Ghana music industry have been ignoring the average and up and coming stars.

In a live Facebook video streaming yesterday, he lamented about how his fellow musicians refuse to use their social media platforms to support each other’s projects. Kuami Eugene, who appeared on Sarkodie’s “Black Love” album but refused to share the project on his social media pages, is now furious about the same attitude he demonstrated.

He isn’t the first person to lament about this issue. Last year, Wendy Shay expressed her disappointment about how some musicians refuse to support each other’s projects. What’s your take? Share your thoughts
