Desmond Elliot hot for saying Nigerian youth organized #EndSARS protest because they are lazy
Celebrated Nigerian actor, Desmond Elliot has come under severe fire for his comment on the youth of Nigeria and what influenced their decision to stage an #EndSARS protest.
The actor who is now a legislator made this statement in a recent plenary session held by the Lagos state House of Assembly.
According to him, the Nigerian youth know nothing about governance which has influenced their decision to go out there to protest against the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS).
Desmond Elliot, who represents the Surulere constituency said if Nigerian youth are tired they should give governance a try or better still because they claim to know more than those in authority, they should come and govern the nation if they want.
On the back of that, many Nigerians have taken to social media to lambast Desmond Elliot for speaking against the needs and plight of the people he claims to represent.
According to them, Desmond Elliot has betrayed the youth thus what he said was unacceptable and will not be condoned by any well-meaning Nigerian youth.
Many celebrities have joined in the social media uproar against Desmond Elliot to castigate and call him names for sweeping a very salient matter like the #EndSARS and the killings that took place under the carpet and turning around to berate the youth for staging a peaceful protest.

The former manager of Papi, a leading member of the 5-Five music group, Bulldog now Bullgod has revealed that his artiste visited Benin for spiritual backing.
Bullgod who claimed to have introduced Papi to rap suggested that his success in the music industry was as a result of the support he received from a spiritualist.

#HipHopAwards: Sarkodie virtually presents the ‘Best International Flow’ award a year after he won it
After becoming the first person the win the ‘Best International Flow’ award at the Hip Hop Awards under the auspices of the Black Entertainment Television (BET), Sarkodie was given the singular honour to present this year’s award.
It was not just a presentation of the award but an additional responsibility to announce the winner who will take over from him and that was a great moment for the Africa rap god.
Although it was conducted virtually, the composure, articulation and vibe Sarkodie exude was heartwarming and a solid depiction of the virality of his relevance and the high regards the international platforms accord him.
With a mixture of professionalism and swag, Sarkodie mentioned the category and expressed how he feels to be given the privilege to present the ‘Best International Flow’ award at the 2020 Hip Hop awards.

Not All Policeman Are Bad Some Take Their Jobs Very Seriously – Yul Edochie Speaks On Police Brutality
Nollywood actor and movie producer Yul Edochie has added his voice to the ongoing campaign against police brutality in Nigeria.
A lot of Nigerians including celebrities have been calling on their President, Mr Buhari to help end the killing of innocent citizens by the Nigerian police force.
The youth in Nigeria took to the streets to demonstrate against the injustice in the police force and other celebrities including some Ghanaians are using the hashtag #ReformTheNigerianPolice” to preach against the change.
Taking to his Twitter page, Yul Edochie opined that not all policemen are bad. He explained that some of them take their jobs very seriously.
He wrote; “Not all policemen are bad. I’ve met a couple of good ones among them. Sadly the many bad ones are making them all look messed up. Many of them are frustrated by the hardship in the country, they take it out on innocent citizens. IT MUST STOP!!”

The Member of Parliament for the Mfantseman constituency, Ekow Quansah Hayford has reportedly been shot dead.
The MP is said to have been shot on the Abeadze Dominase–Abeadze Duadzi–Mankessim road by some unknown assailants on his return from a campaign trip.
Citi News’ Central Regional correspondent Calvis Tetteh said while multiple sources within the NPP have confirmed the unfortunate development, they are tight-lipped on details
Meanwhile, the remains of Ekow Quansah Hayford have been deposited at the Saltpond municipal hospital.

NDC Parliamentary Candidate for New Juaben North dies
Reports reaching ideatv is that,the Parliamentary Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for New Juaben North, Sampson Oti Boateng is dead after a short illness.
The sad incident occurred at a hospital in Koforidua.
Sampson Oti Boateng was expected to file for his nomination on Thursday while he embarked on a house to house campaign before this his sudden death.
October 19, 2020 would have been his 43rd birthday.
